Faculty Music Media London
By the end of June 2009, FMM had signed many contracts internationally, in 8
different countries. Faculty Music not only worked with artists from UK, France
and the USA, it also reached as far as India to accomplish their last project
named Soundpad.
FMM worked in UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, the USA,
Holland, Norway and India. The small label that started 3 years ago is now
making its way into the competitive music industry.
Since September 2007, the label introduced itself as a singular organisation,
and a veritable springboard for new talent.
Whereas it mainly focused on commercial music exploitation since its creation in
2006, FMM is now developing new projects such as viral marketing campaigns
and the FMM Webzine.
FMM not only encourages young artists, it also grants students the opportunity
of working for them and getting involved in real, compelling projects.
Last year, FMM mainly worked with french band John & Jehn and the
Soundpad Project. The latter gathered four emerging rock bands from India around
two famous music producers John Leckie (Radiohead, Stone Roses, Muse) and Dan
Austin to release a 8-song digital album.
Over twelve months, FMM has achieved many accolades : 300,000 combined
MySpace plays for John & Jehn, a Remix by Mighty Mouse, J&J playing on French
national television (an estimated 6 millions viewers), and John & Jehn recently signed a
deal with Chanel for their new advert (http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=wPWlwaNLzcQ) just to name
some of them.
2009 is a very exciting year for FMM. We plan on pursuing our success in
the music industry working with new artists.
We'll also open an urban music division
for the label, start working on viral marketing campaigns with artists Moxie Block
(http://www.myspace.com/jennyisblock) and BlackNRed (http://www.myspace.com/
blacknredmusic).
But most of all, we are creating FMM Webzine, a new online magazine dealing with Music, Arts and Media.
